www.landvoyage.com

LandNet Corp., a provider of Internet mapping solutions, has been issued its third patent for online mapping functionality. On April 8, 2008, the U.S. Patent Office awarded patent 7,356,406 containing an additional 73 claims to the “Land Software Tool” patent 7,054,741 that was filed in 2002 and issued in 2006. Provisional patents date back seven years to 2001. The land software tools are used in conjunction with the Property Archive website technology covered under patent 7,171,389 issued in January 2007. Four other patents relating to online mapping are pending.

LandNet Corp. is the developer of LandVoyage, a turnkey online mapping and real estate archiving business launched in 2000. The company’s patented technology includes the Land Software Tools, which cover numerous online map drawing, editing and measuring capabilities, and the Property Archive Tool (www.propertyarchive.com), which relates to the identification, storage and display of land data on a website.

“Real estate applications have emerged among the top commercial uses of Internet mapping sites, and LandVoyage brings location intelligence to online property mapping,” said LandNet CEO Craig Harrison. “LandVoyage has perfected the concept of creating a property-specific website to serve as the permanent digital archive of all information relating to a single real estate parcel – with just a few clicks of the mouse.”

Harrison, who has used the technology to close more than $600 million in real estate deals, added that with the three patents awarded and more than 50 million maps served online, Property Archives with the LandVoyage software tools are now ready for nation-wide deployment to serve any and all sectors in the real estate industry. LandNet Corp. is seeking joint venture partners to expand the operations of LandVoyage in the commercial market.

Lat49 by IDELIX a Winner of the Red Herring 100 North America

www.lat49.com

Red Herring announced that lat49, the online mapvertising system by IDELIX Software, is a recipient of the Red Herring 100 North America, an award given to the top 100 private technology companies based in North America.

“The large number of entries in this year's competition demonstrates that the economic slowdown has not affected technology innovation,” said Joel Dreyfuss, editor-in-chief of Red Herring. “The companies on this year's list are proof that creative ideas continue to find the funding that turns them into promising businesses.”

Red Herring's annual lists of top private companies are an important part of that company's tradition of identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs. Companies like Google, eBay and Skype were spotted in their early days by Red Herring editors, and touted as leaders that would change the way we live and work.

Red Herring’s editorial staff rigorously evaluated more than 800 private companies through a careful analysis of financial data and subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development.

“It is a great honor to have been selected by Red Herring as one of the top 100 innovators in North America,” commented IDELIX president Keith Ippel. “Online and mobile advertising continues to grow at a tremendous pace and there has been significant innovation in this sector over the last couple of years. To be singled out as one of the companies that is making a difference is something our team is proud of and we would like to thank the Red Herring selection committee for this acknowledgment.”

LizardTech GeoExpress 7 Launch Offers Integration for Geospatial Imaging Workflows

www.lizardtech.com

LizardTech, a division of Celartem, Inc., and a leading provider of software solutions for managing and distributing digital content, announced the launch of GeoExpress 7, the premier application for quickly and easily compressing and manipulating complex geospatial imagery. Equipped with new and exciting features, this latest version enables all of the LizardTech Express Suite applications to interoperate with one another, making it easier and faster than ever to get users’ imagery deployed into the hands of those who need it.

With a powerful set of tools for reprojecting, color balancing, mosaicking, cropping and more, LizardTech’s GeoExpress 7 is the industry’s first choice for manipulating geospatial imagery and encoding it to industry standard compression formats. Now GeoExpress streamlines workflows even more by allowing encoding and publishing of imagery directly to LizardTech Express Server in one simple operation. Users can view their imagery in WMS applications or ArcIMS, or make their imagery available in Web applications - all without having to learn any command line applications or edit XML documents. This results in increased productivity by reducing the effort and time it takes to distribute imagery to decision makers.

The latest addition to the ever-growing list of tools for image manipulation in GeoExpress 7 is the new despeckling tool. Despeckling enables users to clean up edge artifacts making their images look better. Additionally, the well-received floating license capability from GeoExpress 6 has been updated to offer “commuter” functionality, which increases productivity by allowing users to continue working when they are on the road and disconnected from the network. IT administrators have the freedom to use one common licensing standard on their network, simplifying their administration tasks, while giving end users access to the image tools they need, no matter where in the world they are located.
