Orlando Utilities Commission made a decent showing, Duke Energy was last, Florida Power & Light was tops and electric utilities overall gained ground, according to the 2016 J.D. Power survey of residential customer satisfaction.

For the category of large utilities in the South region, Florida Power & Light Co. edged out Alabama Power for the top spot. At the bottom of the list of 13 utilities in that category is Duke Energy Florida.
Duke is the state's second-largest utility, with 1.7 million customers. Of those, 608,000 are in Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola counties, making it the area's biggest provider.
